Divisions for Oxford Little League Girl's Softball: 

T-Ball/ Coach Pitch Division:  Typical age range is 5-9.  In this division, the players learn the fundamentals of hitting, throwing and catching/fielding as well as the positions on the field and rules of the game.  

Minors - Player Pitch:  Typical age range is 8-11.  At this level, the players pitch to each other but the batter can't walk (a coach finishes the at bat after ball 4).  Fundamentals are reinforced while being exposed to game situations. 

Majors: Typical age range is 10-12.  The Majors level is competitive, with the expectation that the players are fundamentally solid (always improving). This is essentially the players first exposure to in-game strategy (bunting, stealing, passed balls, dropped third strike).
